We are so excited to bring you an incredible timetable of talented people who are willing to share their knowledge and skills and help you learn something new. This year we have:

Sophie Standing Artist - Wildlife artist using only fabric & thread. This workshop promises to be an unforgettable experience as Sophie will show you her extraordinary technique of reproducing images in fabric and then using thread to create texture and realism.

Crochet for Beginners - Samira has been teaching knitting and crochet professionally to children and adults throughout the Scottish Borders for the last 8 years. She will show you step by step all you need to know about crocheting to start you on your journey to making your very own project.

Horse Time is a SCIO that facilitates the delivery of evidence-based mental health and trauma interventions with feedback from horses.

Trio of Santa's -

Little Gifts Pillow - ‘Tis the season’ for a Christmas cushion project and how lovely is this cushion designed by Vanessa Goertzen for Moda. This would be lovely in the corner of any Christmas setting or it would make a lovely gift for someone.

Surprise Christmas Project - Come along and join in a day of Christmas crafts. We will have something nice for you to make to put you in the festive spirit.

Bedding Plants by kind permission of Jo Avery - In each class we will learn how to make a flower (or two) from one of the rows of the quilt.  You will then be able make the rest of the flowers from that row at home.  Once we have completed the 6 rows of bedding plants, we will arrange a separate date to piecethem together to make the quilt top

Beginners Patchwork Class - This is a beginner’s workshop where you will be shown all the basics including measuring and cutting your fabric accurately, joining pieces to make blocks and then joining blocks together to make a cushion front.  You will make a small cushion cover on the day and with the skills and information you learn on the day you will be able to use these to take you forward into the world of patchwork and quilting to make your first quilt.

The Double Wedding Ring quilt pattern has long been a symbol of love and romance with its interlocking rings symbolizing marriage. The quilt was traditionally made by mothers and grandmothers for their children and given as gifts on their wedding day or anniversaries. This is a great opportunity for you to give this design a go for yourself, it is also a great way of using up some of your fabric stash!

English Paper Piecing, (often referred to as EPP),is a traditional method of hand piecing, where fabric is folded over paper templates using thread or glue and then the pieces are sewn together. This is an excellent class for beginners, it is extremely therapeutic, addictive and is perfect for the busy life most of us live as it can be picked up and put down and completely portable.
