Emma Jean Jansen has been creating patchwork quilts since she was a teenager. She learnt patchwork from her mother together they ran Ballarat Patchwork for over 15 years. Emma loves designing her own quilts and is known for her use of bright colours and re-take on traditional piecing.
Harlequin Stars Quilt - This quilt is suited to the more advanced sewer featuring Foundation Piecing using the “freezer paper” method. This quilt can also be pieced using your preferred method of Foundation Piecing.
Optical Quilt - A quilt that uses two sizes of Drunkard’s Path blocks to create an interesting optical effect. The quilt is great project to use up that stash and can be made in so many colour combinations.
Australis Blooms - A striking quilt featuring Raw Edge Appliqué to create the fabulous flower shapes. Would suit lots of fabric ranges and has simple piecing in the sashing.
Flying South Quilt - A quilt that features lots of triangles creating great movement. It is a perfect quilt for using up the stash and features a quick piecing method for the Flying Geese blocks used in this quilt.
